How to Complete the UPSC Registration Form

Application Form – Part 2

Candidates must fill out the UPSC application form online after the candidates:

  1. Candidates will receive an incomplete UPSC application. UPSC registration form information will get transferred to the UPSC exam form.
  2. The Photo Identity Card will be the only option available to the candidates.
  3. Type the Photo ID Card Number.
  4. Verify the serial number on the Photo ID Card.
  5. Upload a scanned copy of your photo, signature, and photo ID card in the format and size requested.
  6. Candidates must choose their desired testing location for the UPSC exam.
  7. Applicants must pay the UPSC exam application fee. 

UPSC Engineering Services Main Exam 2023

  • Candidates must receive at least 25% of the possible marks on each qualifying paper in the CSE exam, which includes sections in the Indian Language and English.
  • Essays, General Studies assignments, and optional papers contribute to the total marks.
  • The length of all the papers combined is three hours.
  • Candidates from the Sikkim, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh states are exempt from taking the Indian Language paper.

Candidates have two options for paying the UPSC Exam application fee: online or offline.

Online mode: Candidates may use their Visa, Mastercard, RuPay credit/debit cards, or SBI internet banking to pay the application fee online.

Offline mode: Candidates may pay the application fee in cash at any SBI branch to submit their payment offline. According to the official website, applicants who choose to pay must print the pay-in slip that the system generates after part II registration and deposit their fees at the counter of their local SBI branch the following working day only. Candidates should know that the “Pay by Cash” mode will get disabled one day before the application deadline. On the closing day, candidates who generated their pay-in-slip before the process was disabled may pay at any SBI branch during regular business hours.
