Although we don’t know what will happen to the DC Universe after 2023, we do know that Aquaman author David Leslie Johnson McGoldrick has already started writing a Flash sequel.

Ezra Miller plays Barry Allen/The Flash in the movie. When the character receives his first solo adventure on the big screen, the actor will be reprising their role for a third time in the DC Universe (fourth if we count both cuts of Justice League). Miller recently agreed to a request deal on trespassing charges from 2022, which allowed him to save three months in jail.
Miller, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Rudy Mancuso, and Luke Brandon Field will also appear. Temuera Morrison will play Tom Curry, Michael Keaton will play Bruce Wayne/Batman, Ron Livingston will play Henry Allen (replacing Billy Crudup), Maribel Verd will play Nora Allen, Michael Shannon will play General Zod, and Antje Traue will play Faora-Ul. Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Rudy Mancuso, and Luke Brandon Field will also appear in unspecified roles in the movie.
Andy Muschietti, the director of IT, is in charge. He is the fourth director working on the project. Before Muschietti, other directors scheduled to work between 2014 and 2019 included Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie), Seth Grahame-Smith (The LEGO Batman Movie writer), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), and the team of John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (Game Night). Is The Flash Movie Connected To DC Universe?
The movie shares continuity with The Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Justice League, Aquaman, Shazam, Birds of Prey, Man of Steel, and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. That has nothing to do with The Joker or Batman because they each have their universes.

The Flash is a movie based on the same-named superhero from comic books. Barry Allen, a forensic scientist, gets struck by lightning, which gives him superpowers. Allen is the third person to take the title of The Flash after Wally West and Jay Garrick, both of whom are members of the Justice Society of America (founding member of the Teen Titans and core part of the Justice League).
Barry Allen decides he can utilize his newfound super speed for good and defends Central City from his rogue gallery. The Scarlet Speedster becomes a founding member of the Justice League, Green Lantern’s best buddy, and an integral part of DC Comics.
Barry travels across time in Flashpoint, a Geoff Johns comic book series, to prevent his mother’s murder. As a result, the world ends. Before it’s too late, Barry needs to make things right and figure out how to reset the timeline.
Flashpoint is the inspiration for The Flash, which would borrow several aspects of its plot. Ben Affleck is not present because Michael Keaton will play Batman in the movie. Moreover, Sasha Calle will probably take up Superman’s position in the narrative.
