NMC NExT 2023

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced the National Exit Test (NExT). It was designed to provide authenticity to the MBBS graduates so they can pursue medicine in India. The NMC NExT exam will be held once a year. The authorities have drafted the regulation as well that has to be followed in order to conduct the exam. It was officially released on 28th Dec 2022. All the candidates who want to pursue medicine are required to qualify for the exam, including the students who completed their education abroad.

the appeals are invited by the authorities from the candidates regarding any issue regarding the upcoming exam. The candidates have a limited of 30 days to raise the issue. – The authorities released an official notice where they can share the issues. The id is [email protected]. NMC NExT Exam Pattern 2023

NMC NExT Exam is expected to replace the other major medical exam, NEET and FMGE. The NExT exam pattern is provided online. The candidates can check and do the preparation. About the NExT exam, There will be two exams, named steps. Step 1 exam will be theory, whereas step 2 will be a practical exam. Exam one will be through the CBT mode.

There will be around 6 parts of the exam paper that will cover the subjects of III year and Final MBBS. The National Exit Test (NExT) will have theory questions. It will be a Multiple Choice question-based test. Step 2 will be a practical exam that is going to cover 7 subjects to evaluate the students. Other exams that are conducted in this regard will soon be removed gradually.

  • Medicine and allied disciplines
  • Surgery and allied disciplines
  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Paediatrics
  • Otorhinolaryngology
  • Ophthalmology
  • Applied aspects of all subjects covered under I and II MBBS
  • Applied aspects of all subjects covered under III or Final MBBS (Part 1)

NMC NExT Dates 2023

The official notification regarding the exam dates is not yet been uploaded by the NMC. In Dec and March. The exam dates regarding the practical exams are not shared. The internship period can be expected in the month of February.

The purpose behind creating the NExT by the National Medical Commission is to bring uniformity in the evaluation of the whole nation. This also includes proper and uniform taring for medical graduates.

NMC NExT Registration 2023

The NExT exam is made compulsory for MBBS candidates. After this, only you will be able to get an internship in a hospital. Exam for PG medical students to acquire a license to practice medicine in India.

The candidates will gain the rank as per their performance in the exam. The candidates will have to do the registration online. The exact process is not shared on the official portal, but it will be similar to related medical exams. Those who have any issues regarding the NExT exam shall report at the id provided above.

NMC NExT Guidelines 2023

The bill regarding the exam was presented in 2019. Then the draft was brought in 2020. It will help in replacing the NEET postgraduate exam. The good news is there is no restriction on the number of trials/attempts one can give in the exam.

The candidates who are studying medicine shall check all the rules and guidelines released by the National Medical Commission (NMC) on their official portal. The guidelines are to be followed by the authorities, students and institutions as well.

  1. i want to ask that if i haven't completed internship in my medical college which is out of india then can i apply for NEXT Exam or else i'll face any other problem in future ?

NEXT Exam can be Implemented in 3 Parts as NEXT STEP 1 Covering 8 Subjects – Anatomy/ Physiology/ Biochemistry/ Pharmacology/ Pathology/ FMT / SPM After 2.3 yrs of MBBS for 3 Days Examination and NEXT STEP 2 Covering 13 Subjects – Medicine – RD – RT – DVL – Chest Diseases – Anaesthesia – Psychiatry – OBG – Surgery – Ophthalmology – ENT – Orthopaedics – Paediatrics after 4.6 yrs of MBBS For 3 Days Examination and NEXT STEP 3 Covering 8 Subjects+ 13 Subjects – 21 Subjects after Completion of 1 yr Internship for 3 Days Examination .

    • the govt. run the exams two times one callender year, becz. some students are not able to attend exam. for ex. last fmge exam 3000 student absent for those reasons
