The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has notified TNEB consumers through an official announcement that they must link their Aadhar Cards to their TNEB Electricity Bills. If the Aadhar Card is not linked with the electricity bills, then the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) will not accept any bills. If you have not yet linked your Aadhar Card to your TNEB Electricity Bills, then you should hurry and complete the linking procedure online on the official webpage. As per the reports, over 60,000 customers have already linked their Adhaar to their TNEB bills.

Currently, the TNEB Aadhaar Card Linking services are only available for Power Loom customers, Domestic customers, and Hut and Agriculture services. All Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) customers must remember that their Aadhaar Card should be uploaded in size 500 KB in .jpeg, .jpg, or pdf format.

The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) has extended two days to the last date to link the Aadhar Card to the TNEB electricity bills. This step was taken for domestic consumers whose last link date was from 24th November 2022 to 30th November 2022.

The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) decided to extend the last date because many customers were facing issues while linking their Aadhar cards to their TNEB Electricity Bills. Hence, if the last date for any domestic customers’ TNEB Electricity Bills payment is 30th November 2022, they can make the bill payment by 2nd December 2022. Similarly, if the last date to pay the TNEB Electricity Bills is 25th November 2022, the payment can be done by 27th November 2022 without any issues.

As we all know, it is now compulsory for Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) customers to link their registered Aadhar card number to their TNEB connection number. You can easily link your Aadhar with your TNEB Electricity bills if you have not done it yet. Below are the steps to link the Aadhar with TNEB bills.
Step 1- Open the official webpage nsc.tnebltd.gov.in/adharupload on your device.
Step 2- Now, type your TNEB Service Connection Number and tap on the Enter option below.
Step 3- After that, you must verify your TANGEDCO Account by entering your Registered Mobile Number.
Step 4- Now, tap on the ‘Aadhar number to be linked with TANGEDCO Accounts’ option.
Step 5- Next, tap on the ‘Upload Aadhar Card ID’ and upload a scanned image of your Aadhar Card in either PNG, PDF, or JPG format.
Step 6- Lastly, submit all the documents by tapping on the submit or enter button.
Step 7- Save the Acknowledgment Receipt on your device.
Step 8- Print out the Acknowledgment Receipt for future reference.

very true everything !!everything!!is being linked to Adhar when Supreme court had passed a law saying Adhar is not mandatory and no one can be forced to submit it as a proof of ID etc but we are foolish in giving in to whatever the stupid government announcement is made

There is no way of checking if aadhar is linked even though a message says “aadhaar details has been successfully linked to your mobile number”. It even lets you link again and again and again… any number of times

ABRUPTLY Tamil Nadu announces that Aadhar linking with the Electricity connection
is over by 28.2.2023 .This is contrary to the Supreme Court ruling that linking Aadhaar
is not compulsory for availing services provided by government. Such facility should
be easily available to customers. Even after linking with the procedure laid down, no
intimation is available whether this has been accepted. When you enforce a rule, it
should facilitate the customers and not harassing the public, especially on on line
method.
