We know that Sauron faked the one ring in the secret episode & has been killed for experimenting on his orc children. Another twist which came to know in the first season was that Sauron called himself Anatarthe, lord of Gifts, in the final episode when Halbrand helps Keller Brimbor in solving his smithing problems & called that knowledge a gift that time. Keller wanted nothing more than to be memorized as a Crashman.
At the end of the season, Halbrand made his way to Modor because of that one ring after they could control the kingdom. Sauron must also be content with Adar, who was supposed to kill him.
