Recently, the makers of the epic movie, ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ made an announcement about the movie’s next part. Lyca Productions Tweeted a glimpse indicating that the ‘Cholas are back’. The news is shared with a short clip introducing ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’. The PS-2 movie will be released on 28th April 2023.

Ponniyin Selvan 2 shooting was said to be done parallel to part 1. The sequel of Ponniyin Selvan, along with the part, was completed in a duration of 150 days, as per news. The shooting of the movie was done in Tamil Nadu, India, and some parts were shot in Thailand.
Some parts are shot in Orchha, Gwalior, Puducherry, Mysore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, MP and other beautiful locations in India. The is made up of around Rs 500 Crores budget. The music is spun by the music maestro A.R. Rahman.
