LockUpp Season 2 Release Date

LockUpp Season 2 will return on OTT platforms ALT Balaji & MX Player after its first season went viral. It became an online reality show to get a record-breaking viewership title. Forty-eight hours after its release, it gained around 15 million views, making it viral on social media platforms. Just like in season 1, in season 2, 17 contestants will be locked in jail to play games, & fight for getting bail for survival.

Kangana Ranaut was rumoured to be a shameful host of the show. Munawar Faruqui was among the contestants who won LockUpp season 1 & Payal Rohatgi became runner-up. Archana Gautam & Soundarya Sharma are currently two names coming up as the contestants for LockUpp season 2. It is not officially announced yet about the LockUpp Season 2 starting, but it is expected that the season will get released within the first half of 2023.

LockUpp Season 2 Cast

According to rumours, Kangana Ranaut will host the upcoming season, while Karan Kundra will be the jailor & producer Ekta Kapoor. Lockupp casting team has sent an invitation to Sumbul Touqeer Khan, a Bigg Boss season 16 contestant, but she refused & said that she’s not interested as of now. According to rumours, an invitation is also sent to one of the rising rappers, Emiway Bantai. The LockUpp team are having conversations with the rapper & if everything goes well, he’ll be in season 2.

Just like the first season, this season is also assumed to have 71 episodes. Additional information about the episode list of season 2 is yet to come. In the previous season, each episode was named “Badass Jailer Kangana Ke 13 Qaidi”, “Ab Qaidi Layenge Kranti”, “Koun Hoga Kurbaan?” etc.

• Chakrapani – He is a self-proclaimed Swami. He was controversial for purchasing properties of wanted criminal Dawood Ibrahim, which he tried to convert into public toilets, & gained media attention through his ‘gomutra party’ during covid-19 pandemic.
• Saisha Shinde – there was no such information about him at the start of the first season of LockUpp.
• Poonam Pandey – She is an actress & a model. she is known for her revealing pictures & videos on social media. She was inside this show for being involved in an adult film scandal.
• Babita Phogat – She is an Indian wrestler. She was controversial after she joined the ‘Bhartiya Janata Party’ to start her political career in 2019.
• Sara Khan – She is an actress & won the title of Miss Bhopal in 2007. she was in controversy for marrying Ali merchant & within a few months, getting divorced.
• Shivam Sharma – an enterpreneur & actor. He was in controversy for his flirty & scallywag nature.
• Sidharth Sharma – an actor who was in controversies for his jealousy & conflicts with co-actors.
• Anjali Arora – a social media influencer. She was accused or was in controversy for posting non-influencing content.
• Nisha Rawal – an actress. She was controversial because a police complaint was filed against her by her husband for an extramarital affair.
• Tehseen Poonawala – he is a lawyer & political analyst.
• Payal Rohatgi – She is an actress & a model. she was into controversies because of her remarks & because of this, her Twitter account was suspended permanently.
• Karanvir Bohra – he is an actor.

• Ali Merchant – He is a DJ, music producer, actor & anchor. He was in controversy because his marriage was a publicity stunt.

• Azma Fallah – There is no information provided by the team of Lockupp on her.
• Zeeshan Khan – He is a model & an actor.
• Vinit Kakar – He is an entrepreneur & an actor & was in controversy for his dirty plays.
