Half of the total INR 88,000 crore and have acquired a coverage of 700Mhz band, capacity of 3.5Ghz band and an internet speed of 26Ghz mmWave band. But it was a bit expensive.

It is mentioned by Ookla broadcast speed research that the network speed of Jio 5G is higher and of 600Mbps median speed. Meanwhile, Airtel 5G has a median speed of 516Mbps. In Delhi, Reliance Jio has a median speed of over 600Mbps, and Airtel has a nedian speed of 200Mbps.

5G Plans Jio Airtel

Reliance Jio will make its Jio 5G Plan available for its users with a starting price of INR 239 with unlimited 5G data and up to 1Gbps network speed. On the other hand, Airtel 5G will be available at the same price as their 4G plans.

5G Pricing Comparison

Jio 5G will be available for its users at the starting price of 239 rupees with Unlimited 5G bandwidth and 1GB of Data. The prices will get higher according to the user’s plan. Meanwhile, Airtel will provide its 5G services at the same price as the 4G plans. The 5G network of Airtel will also be available on devices that are compatible with a 5G network with 4G SIM cards.

Jio 5G Vs Airtel 5G Offers

Reliance Jio’s 5G plan will be available in both Prepaid and postpaid plans. It also has an invite-only Jio Welcome Offer for eligible users only. If you are available for the Welcome Offer, you will see an invitation banner in your My Jio app.

The Premium Offer Plans for the Airtel 5G is not confirmed yet but they will result in a lower price per user. The prices for the Airtel 5G will be the same as their 4G plan prices which are between INR 500 to INR 600. The prices maybe fall or rise in future.

  1. these both Airtel & Jio.. haven’t started their operations and even if they have started their operations how can we get a clear pic regarding their services.
    these both mint money and they don’t serve their customers…wen we face a network issue and i tried to port out my Airtel number..they are least bothered and no one from technical team will speak with the customer..only Airtel relationship team will speak and i don’t understand what is the reason y relationship team is connected to network issue…

  3. jio network is very poor i have connection but Airtel is best in everything like customer care, speed and voice clearing

    • I think you’re staying in Village, come to cities and towns, Airtel was not yet at all working, very poor signals. Spending money for stupid Ads, but not focusing on Network Issues. 100 time’s JIO Better even in Desert.

  5. I think you have not properly studied the plans. Currently I am on Airtel prepaid with a Rs 719 plan for 84 days with unlimited talk time, 1.5 gb per day and 100 sms

  6. Airtel is the worst network in the world. even beside the tower also we can’t get the signal. all advertisements about airtel promotions are worthless.

  8. jio & airtel both has not started 5g in kolkata even on invitation banner.
    In India tata is a best service provider for their manufacturing item & service. jio is still not refund jio phone refund whereas TATA teleservices refund their s. d immediately after close their service in India backed by docomo technology.

  9. In Mumbai at the moment Jio True 5G is far far superior. Though my Airtel 5G is active since a few weeks but so far I am yet to experience “the 5G” speed & network coverage is very patchy. On the other hand my Jio 5G got activated “on invitation” a couple of days ago. The coverage over Mumbai is almost seamless & the speeds I have experienced is min 337 & max 1097 Mbps.

Worst customer care executive s .Don’t give them wishes,you are paying extra money for their regular duty.They were not realizing their duty,then where you called up services.Order them they have no option without listening your queries.This is my (recent)today 10/12/2022 experience at 10am Chennai Mugappair.


  12. Airtel is wrist in the heart of the city in Bangalore. Places like MG Road in and around TAJ MG Road, NGV Koramangala are having issues with Airtel with 4G. For the last 2 Years same is the case. Airtel wrist. Jio a shade better.

  13. jio is froud company i am using jio sims and i brought jio fiber connection 1year earlier still not installed and activated i made cancellation request on jan 24 2022 still i have not received any refund.
    i have been mailed to jio fiber care jio customer care no one is responding i only receiving default mails.
    i will go legally on jio

  15. I am experiencing the worst slow data speed from jio for the past 10 days. on raising complaint that the speed is awfully low throughout the day they give a same reply that it will be slow during PEAK hours. No solution is offered and no improvement.
