Age Limit: Security Assistant for a maximum of 27 years

3. Widows, divorced women, and women legally separated from their spouses but have not remarried are exempt from the age restriction up to the age of 35 for general candidates and up to 40 for SC/ST candidates.

According to periodic government directives in this respect, the age restriction is lowered for former service members and the children and dependents of victims of the Gujarat riots in 2002 and the Sikh riots in 1984.
