Assam Orunodoi Scheme 2023

Assam Orunodoi Scheme was drafted for the purpose of providing financial aid to economically vulnerable families. The amount will be transferred into the registered woman’s family account. It was launched on 2nd Oct 2020. The families receive financial aid of Rs. 1000 per month. Through the ‘Orunodoi’ or Arunodoi Scheme, the government deposit this amount on 1st day of every month into the beneficiary’s account.

The procedure is through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme and will benefit around 19.10 Lakh Households. The respective Deputy Commissioner will supervise the scheme implementation.

Orunodoi Scheme Eligibility

To apply, you are required to fulfil the following criteria marked by the policymakers and approved by your Ministers.

• Permanent resident of Assam
• The applicant should be currently living in Assam.
• The total income of the household should be less than 2 lakhs annually.
• The beneficiary (female) should have a bank account. The bank account record shall match the scheme records.
• If the bank account is not there, then the woman is required to open one before the application approves.

Priority is given to:

• The families or households have widows, divorced/unmarried/ separated females. Any specially-abled member is present in the household.
• To the poorer families, even if they are covered under NFSA or not.
