On 2 October 2022 teaser of the film is released and gained 69 million views and 1 million likes in just 24 hours, after KGF it is the second most viewed Indian movie teaser.
The makers of the film revealed in September 2020 about the cast that Prabhas is playing Lord Ram’s character, and the name given to him in the movie is Raghava. The role of Ravan is given to Saif Ali Khan with the name Lankesh, saif who already performs a rival character like this in Om Raut’s Tanhaji.

Adipurush Movie Story
As mentioned earlier in the article, this movie is based on Indian Hindu mythology based on Ramayana. The story is based on Lord Shri Ram, who travels to Lanka by building Ram Setu along with his younger brother and also, with the help of Hanuman and his army, fights and defeats Ravana ( the King of Lanka) to get her wife Sita back from him.
The movie also has other characters, but it is mainly based on the star cast of the film. Ramayana was written by Valmiki and narrated by Narada. The movie is all set to hit the theatres in January 2023, and it is a 3D film.
Adipurush Production Budget
In the Indian film industry, Adipurush is one of the most expensive movies with a budget of 500 crores, in which half of the budget amount of 250 crores is being spent on VFX ( visual effects). The film is shot in Hindu and Telugu languages at the same time, and it is also dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
The film is directed by Om Raut, who earlier made the film Tanhaji in 2020, which was his first film. Raut said that he was mesmerised by the 1992 Japanese film Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama. Adipurush Controversey
Madhya Pradesh home Minister Narottam Mishra said he is writing a letter to Om Raut to remove the objectionable scenes from the movie. He also stated that they are portraying the Hindu religion in the wrong way. His official statement is, “We have an objection to the portrayal of the film Adipurush.
It is not right to slander us by wrongly filming the focal points of the Hindu faith. I am writing a letter to Om Raut to remove the objectionable scenes, if those scenes are not removed then we will take legal action.”
BJP’s spokesperson Malavika Avinash said “I am saddened by the fact that director let the alone researching the Valmiki’s Ramayana, Kamba Ramayanaor Tulsidas Ramayana, or the umpteen numbers of interpretations of Ramayana that are available across board as far as Thailand where they do amazing performances of the Ramayana.”
She also said that he could also look for the Tamil-Telugu movies where how beautifully it is represented, “The Raavana in the photograph that I see floating around is a guy who looks nothing Indian, who has blue eye makeup and is wearing leather jackets.
