UP Scholarship 2023

The UP government has launched various scholarship opportunities in different categories to help students from 9th grade itself. The government has divided the scholarship into two different broad categories: Pre Matric scholarships and Post-Matric scholarships. According to the government, these scholarships are designed to support students with their tuition fees, school fees and other course fees. Each year, the students can renew their scholarships based on their academic progress.

UP Scholarship Renewal is sponsored by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttar Pradesh. This is provided by the government to every student in the state. The government also keeps records of students’ academic performances on its portal with the help of schools and universities. The government has created a different portal named “Saksham Portal” for circulating the details and allotting money.

UP Scholarship Status 2023

The government portal created for a scholarship is relatively easy to use. It allows its users to check or track their status on the portal. All the students from 9th grade till their higher education and beyond can visit the website and apply for the scholarship. The online system created for this purpose is very accurate and appropriate. Freshers can visit the website and apply for the scholarship by submitting the required documents. In contrast, the old users can visit the website and apply for the renewal of their scholarships.

Students can easily track their applications and progress on the portal. You can quickly go to the dashboard and access the “status” of your application in that section.

UP Scholarship Login 2023

Following are the steps to login for new users and for students who want to renew their scholarships:

Step 1: Registration

• Visit the website scholarship.up.gov.in
• Press the Student section and choose New Registration on the dashboard.
• Fill in all the mandatory details as asked on the website.
• Choose to Submit and take the print of the registration slip.

Step 2:  Login

• If you are logging in for the first time, select Fresh Login in the Student section. If you want to renew your application, choose the Renewal Login option. Login using your credentials. Select the type of scholarship you want to apply for.
• Read the important instructions before filling out the form.
• Click on Proceed.

Step 3: Fill out the the application form

• You’ll be directed to the user dashboard, where you have to fill out the given application form. Fill in all the details as asked in your scholarship application form.
• Choose Submit.

Step 4: Upload all documents

• At the end of the application, the portal  will ask you to submit your documents.
• Upload all documents in supporting format. If your docs are not in the required format, then your application will be rejected. A student who will not submit documents in a specified form will be considered invalid by the government.
• Choose Submit application and print out the form.

Step 5: Submit the printed form with supporting documents to your respective school or university. This is the final and last step for applying for the scholarship program launched by UP government.

UP Scholarship Required Documents

These documents are required at the time of registering for the scholarship:

• Address proof documents (Ration card, UID card, Voter ID card, Driving License, PAN card)
• Applicants’ passport size photograph
• Caste Certificate (If the applicant is from OBC/SC/ST caste)
• Income certificate ( for Pre-matric scholarships, income should not exceed ₹1 lakh for all categories and Post-matric scholarships, income for the general category should not exceed ₹2 lakhs, and for OBS/SC/ST category, it should not exceed ₹2.5 lakhs)
• Residence/Domicile Certificate
• Fee receipt or admission letter of the current year
• Mark sheets of previously appeared exams
• Student ID Proof
• Bank statement or passbook of students’ account

UP Scholarship Important Dates

• Dates for filling out the application form for Pre-matric scholarships (fresh and renewal) start from July 2023 to September 2023.
• Dates for filling out the application form for Post-matric scholarships (fresh and renewal) start from Jul 2023 to October 2023.
• Up pre-matric scholarships, form can be corrected in the month of October 2023
• UP Post-matric scholarships form can be corrected in the month of November 2023.
• Scholarships will be disbursed in the month of January 2024.
