On 19th September 2008, after finishing their show in South Carolina, Travis Barker survived a plane crash with his assistant Chris Baker, his security guard, and Che Stil. All the people in the plane including two pilots died in the crash except Travis and Adam Michael Goldstein also known as DJ AM. Travis and Adam Michael Goldstein were the only two survivors of the plane crash.
Later, Adam Michael Goldstein died due to a drug overdose. After the incident, Barker became fearful of taking flights or traveling by air and developed post-traumatic stress disorder.
