By Rail:- Devotees can reach Kottayam & Chengannur by rail from there by road to Pampa

By Air:- Devotees can reach Thiruvananthapuram or Kochi by air and from there by rail/road to Pampa

By Road:- KSRTC started their bus services to Coimbatore, Palani and Thenasi from Pampa for the convenience of Sabarimala Devotees. besides, govt. of Tamilnadu and Karnataka have given permission to operate buses to Pampa. A chain service exists between Pampa and Nilackal base camps.

Do’s and Don’t at Sabarimala Temple

Do’s

• Take a rest for 5 minutes after walking for 10 minutes during the climb.
• Use the traditional path -Marakootam, Saramkuthy, Nadapanthal to reach Sannidhanam.
• Follow the queues system to reach Pathinettampadi.
• Use Nadapanthal fly-over for the return journey.
• While using Dolly, make payment only at the Devaswon counter and keep the receipt.
• Subjects yourself to security checks at security points.
• Park vehicles only at the allotted parking slots.

Dont’s 

• Do not use mobile phones at the temple premises.
• Do not smoke at Pampa, Sannidhanamand en route.
• Do not jump the queue.
• Do not carry weapons and other explosive substances.
• Do not make extra payments for any service.
• Do not coconut anywhere other than in designated places on both sides of Pathinettampadi.
• Do not rest anywhere at Upper Thirumutaam or Thanthrinada.
