The national-level hackathon is in full swing. Last week a cyber security Hackathon was announced under the initiative by the Ministry of Education, Kavach. As the name implies, the youths are called to design systems that will provide cyber security.

Kavach Hackathon Ideas 2023
Sharp minds can submit their ideas to deal with cyber threats. Their ideas are effective in solving issues that are being immersed at a considerable pace in the nation and all over the world. The idea has to be submitted to the site mentioned by the PIB.
Higher education institutions or the HEI’s students can participate in, who are pursuing graduation or post-graduation/Ph.D. The second part of the Hackathon is registering Startups.
The ideas will also be incorporated into our country’s cyber security cell. It will strengthen the present security system and also resolve other problems that the government is dealing with.
Kavach Hackathon Event 2023
The curtain raiser was held on 16th Feb 2023 at National Media Centre, New Delhi. 20 Problem statement, which will be the centre of the work. Their major focus was on Cyber prevention and detection of cybercrime.
They have shared that around 10 lakh complaints were reported last year per the data stated in the meeting. The whole completion was organised to provide a safer internet space to citizens of India. Specifically women who have been faced with uncountable problems.
With the growing number of users, It is very necessary to have robust cyber security for internal as well external issues.
Kavach Hackathon Phases 2023
The authorities are hopeful of receiving plenty of unique ideas in the coming months. It is going to be concluded in two phases.
The 1st Phase will be about the following:
- The problem statements (20)
- Grouped into various buckets such as Fake News/social media
- Dark web
- Women’s safety
- Phishing Detection
- Video analytics/CCTV
- Obscene Content Detection
- Spam Alert and Malware Analysis/Digital Forensics shall be posed to the public.
In the 2nd Phase:
- The most innovative of all will be selected.
- They will then be anticipated to exemplify their resolutions for ascertaining the technical feasibility and implement-ability of their solutions.
The finalists will be declared around the 16th to 31st of May. Then the authorities are planning a grand finale in the month of July.
Kavach Hackathon Last Date 2023
The applications of the talented youth will be accepted till mid-April. The aspirants will be able to submit their ideas from 1st March to April 15th.

The aspirant’s ideas will be evaluated till 15th March 2023. Then the second round will be organised after shortlisting the best. They will have present and prove that their creative idea can be put to use in case of a particular issue.

Kavach Hackathon Prize Money 2023
As decided and declared, the winners are going to get Rs. 20 Lakh. They will have to come up with the best innovative ideas and fight among the talented minds of India.
The determination of winners is done by a domain of experts, as shared by the MoD Director, IPS Rekha Lohani. They will evaluate the best of all on specific standards.
