Assam Police Eligibility

Educational Qualification The education qualification sets for the Excise Constable is Hslc or equivalent and for the Grade IV staff, the minimum qualification of the candidates should be 8th class or HSSLC.

Physical Standards (Excise Constable) 

Height(Minimum): 

• General/OBC/SC/MOBC: Male – 162.56 cm, Female – 154.94 cm
• ST(H)/ ST(P): Male:- 160.2 cm, Female- 152.40cm

Chest (Only for Men):

• General/OBC/SC/MOBC: normal – 80 cm expanded- 85 cm
• ST(H)/ ST(P): normal – 78 cm, expanded – 83 cm

Medical Standards: 

Eyesight: The distant vision should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal.

Physical Standards (Grade IV Staff) 

Height(Minimum): 

• General/OBC/SC/MOBC: Male – 160 cm, Female – 150 cm
• ST(H)/ ST(P): Male:- 158 cm, Female- 147cm

Chest (Only for Men):

• General/OBC/SC/MOBC: normal – 80 cm expanded- 85 cm
• ST(H)/ ST(P): normal – 77 cm, expanded – 82 cm

Medical Standards:

Assam Police Recruitment 2023 – Age Limit 

Excise Constable: Minimum age should be 18 years and the maximum age 30 years before 31 December.

Grade IV Staff: Minimum age should be 18 years and the maximum age 25 years before 31 December.

The maximum age for the post of Assam Police, DGCD & CHGH and F and ES should be 40 years.

Age relaxation 

• SC/ST (P) and ST(H): 5 years
• OBC/MOBC: 3 years
• There is no age relaxation for the general category

Nationality

For the post of Assam Police, the vacancy applicant will have a permanent address in Assam. After the release of the merit list, the selected students have to submit proof of their residence.

Language 

Each and every Assamese(another state language) candidate must be fluent in that language.
