State Institute for Development of Arts and Crafts (SIDAC), Gandamunda, puts on a massive national crafts fair in Bhubaneswar every year. This event is organized by SIDAC, an independent entity under the Odisha Government’s Handlooms, Textiles, and Handicrafts Department.

The Mela brought in $14,38 million in revenue during its first year of operation and attracted 14 lakh visitors. This year’s Mela is expected to draw approximately 15 lakh visitors, with merchandise valued at approximately Rs.15.00 crore expected to be sold.

Handicrafts & Handloom Corporations from other states are invited to exhibit various handicrafts and handlooms produced in their states as part of a new initiative. A food court with 30 food stalls set up by exclusive hotels and restaurants will provide visitors with delectable multi-cuisine foodstuffs and traditional Odia cuisine in a beautiful setting.
