School Education Haryana’s Health and Treatment (SEHAT Scheme Haryana) is a new program recently introduced for the state’s school-aged students by Governor Bandaru Dattatreya. A total of 25 lakh school students will reportedly be provided with health examinations bi-annually as part of the program, as said in an official release. Panchkula served as the location for the launch, which was held at a state-level event and organized by the School Education Department. During the same ceremony, the governor awarded 93 educators for their outstanding achievements.
What is SEHAT Scheme Haryana?
According to the speaker, who referred to educated and healthy students as the country’s future, the SEHAT Scheme Haryana project has been established under the “Ayushman Bharat” initiative. It will be implemented in the forthcoming academic year 2023-24. According to him, the information obtained during the student medical examinations will be stored on the state’s e-Upchar site, allowing users to view the data from anywhere in the world.
Dattatreya made the following statement in memory of the late former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birthday is Teachers’ Day: “the great diplomat, scholar, and an outstanding teacher accomplished a magnificent effort for the all-round development of students.” Dattatreya made this remark in honor that Dr. Radhakrishnan’s birthday being celebrated as Teachers’ Day.
The governor also remembered Ramaiah Garu, his physics instructor, and the late Sheshacharya, his Telugu teacher, noting that their guidance helped him on his personal and political travels. He attributed their assistance to the fact that they taught him Telugu. According to Kanwar Pal, who serves as the minister of education for the state government, a significant number of steps have been taken to improve educational standards.

Dattatreya added that in remembrance of former President Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birthday is honored as Teachers’ Day, “the distinguished diplomat, scholar, and an outstanding teacher performed a fantastic work for the all-round evolution of students.” Dr. Radhakrishnan was awarded the Bharat Ratna for his service to the country.
In addition, the governor recalled his physics instructor Ramaiah Garu and his Telugu teacher, the late Sheshacharya, and he said that the teachings of both teachers influenced him not only in his personal life but also in his political career.
