NIOS ODE 2023 exams
The NIOS on-demand exam will take place for both classes 10, 12 at NIOS headquarter four days a week (Tuesday to Friday) and at Kendriya Vidyalaya identified three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
Formerly known as the National Open School, NIOS was established in 1989 as an autonomous organization by the Union Ministry of Human Resources Development.
NIOS ODE 2023 will take place in offline mode, following COVID19 security protocols.
On December 3, 2022, the notification for classes 10, 12 exams was released, as a result of which all students were asked to prepare their documents for the registration process from 6 December.
Candidates will also have the possibility to choose the date of the exam, depending on the availability of the place in the examination center.
They will have this option when they complete the application form. A step-by-step process on how to register for the ODE exams has been shared below.
NIOS ODE Eligibility Criteria
Secondary: The minimum age for admission to the Secondary Course is 14 as of July 31, 2020.
A student who issues a self-certification “I have studied sufficiently to be able to attend the Secondary Course” is also eligible for admission to the Secondary Course.
Those who have studied at the secondary level can also apply for admission to NIOS both to complete their degree course and to improve their performance.

Fees
An online application fee of Rs 480, exam fee of Rs 250, and TOC fee of Rs 180 per subject apply.
Exam Dates
The NIOS On Demand 2023 exams for theory classes 10 and 12 will take place on January 4, 2023, at NIOS Headquarters.
Noida (4 days a week Tuesday to Friday) and Kendriya Vidyalayas (3 days a week Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
While the dates for the NIOS ODE 2023 practice exam will be provided at the knowledge test center, according to official notification from NIOS.
Applicants who register for NIOS ODE Class 10 or 12 will be required to upload a number of documents including;
- recent passport-sized color photograph
- Signature
- valid proof of identity
- proof of valid date of birth
- proof of residence
- proof of address
- education certificates
- caste certificate (if mentioned).

How to Register Online for NIOS ODE Exam
- Applicants should visit the official website of the National Open Education Institute – nios.ac.in or sdmis.nios.ac.in.
- On the home page, click on the link that says “Register for the 10th, 12th ODE 202122 exam”. (Direct link to be activated shortly)
- Enter your e-mail identifier and the OTP received on your mobile number to connect.
- Start filling out the application form providing all required personal and academic details.
- Download the necessary documents and choose the exam dates.
- Click Submit to complete NIOS ODE 2022 registration.
- You can also print a copy of the application form for future reference.
NIOS ODE Application Process
Applicants must register via OTP on mobile phone or email. Fill in the details and upload the required documents Select subject, exam center, make payment, and select exam date.
Once your dates have been successfully booked, log into your dashboard and check your admission confirmation. Once done, upload your ID card and your venue ticket. Contact the examination centers.
NIOS ODE 2023 will be held at NIOS headquarters and identified Kendriya Vidyalayas from the date mentioned and according to the niche and center chosen by the applicants.
Candidates will also receive their admission documents for these NIOS ODE 2023 exams at a later date, which should be brought to class.
