NEST Cut-Off Marks 2023
Along with the NEST 2023 exam results, the qualifying score, or cut-off, will be available online on July 5. The NEST cut-off lists will be made available on the websites of both institutions participating in the project. To qualify for the counselling phase, the applicants need to get at least the minimum number of marks, referred to as the NEST cut-off. The minimum score required to pass the NEST in 2022 changes according to the different applicant groups.
For OBC category candidates, the section-specific minimum acceptable score would be 90 percent of the SMAS for general category candidates. The SMAS will be reduced to 50 percent for candidates who belong to the divyangjan, SC, or ST categories. This reduction is compared to the SMAS for candidates in the general category.
NEST Merit List 2023
The candidates’ performance in the preliminary examination will compile the merit list for the NEST 2023. Both NISER Bhubaneswar and CEBS will publish the NEST 2023 merit lists on their respective organizations’ official websites differently. Candidates whose names appear on the NEST merit list must finish the online document verification process to be considered for the position. NEST Merit List Instructions 2023
While compiling the list of students in order of merit, the selection committee for NEST 2023 considers several considerations. The candidates’ final placement on the NEST merit list 2023 will be determined by the percentile scores derived from the three sections with the highest average score.
- The fact that a candidate’s name appears on the NEST merit list is not sufficient evidence that they will be offered a seat. Shortlisted candidates must complete the NEST counselling process to meet all eligibility requirements.
- The Section-wise Minimum Admissible Score (SMAS) in general and in each of the four subjects sections must be equal or higher to be considered for admission to NISER Bhubaneswar.
- Applicants who intend to accept admittance in UM-DAE CEBS must score equal to or above SMAS in the general portion. Each of the top three section scores of the candidate must be equal to or better than the appropriate SMAS scores for those sections.
- Rankings are determined by averaging the top three scores of the three parts. The NEST merit list 2023 requires applicants to achieve a Minimum Admissible Percentile (MAP) to qualify.
