- A person of Indian ancestry who moved from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or the East African nations of Kenya, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Age Limit
- A candidate must have obtained by the age of 21 years, but not necessarily by 32.
- The maximum age limit agreed upon for the following candidates is relaxable: 5 years for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe and three years for Other Backward Classes.
