Chinese people will no longer be allowed tourist visas in India, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), a worldwide airline industry organization. According to reports, India Suspends Tourist Visa as the action came from Beijing’s refusal to heed India’s petitions over the nearly 22,000 Indian students enrolled in Chinese colleges who are unable to return to their home countries for physical education. Their entry into the neighboring nation has been rejected up to this point.
India Suspends Tourist Visa
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) said in a circular released on April 20 referencing India that “tourist visas granted to citizens of China (People’s Republic) are no longer valid.”
Among those who are permitted to enter India are nationals of Bhutan, the Indian subcontinent, the Maldives, and Nepal; passengers who have a residence permit issued by India; passengers who have a visa or an e-visa issued by India; passengers who have an overseas citizen of India (OCI) card or booklet; passengers who have a person of Indian origin (PIO) card; and passengers who have a diplomatic passport, according to the statement.

Chinese Citizens’ Visa Suspended

According to him, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar brought up the matter with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during a meeting in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, in September of last year. The two foreign ministers met in the Tajik capital city on the margins of a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which was taking place at the time (SCO).
China’s Visa Suspended by India
Several thousand Indians, including more than 23,000 students, have been trapped in India for more than two years due to the COVID-19 crisis, which has caused China to delay the visa procedure and flights from India.
Beijing has been hesitant to let stranded Indian students and hundreds of Indian businesses and employees and their families return to their places of study and employment in the country, despite recent concessions to students from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
India has been pressuring China to let stranded Indian students, primarily medical students and Indians working in China, return to their own country.
