Health Services Directorate, the DHS Assam Recruitment 2022 notification was published on December 8, 2022. The notification has been published for 2,720 grade III and grade IV posts in technical and non-technical fields. About DHS

The UK government initially created the Department of Health Services on two wings (1) curative side (2) preventive side.

The department is placed under the head of the department, the curative side of health services was placed ahead of the department.

The nomenclature of the post was INSPECTOR GENERAL of civil hospitals and prisons [This nomenclature of the place is still visible in the rule basic].

From the start of his post as Inspector General of the Civil Hospital, the prison administration was under the control of the IGCH.

The preventive part of the health service was placed under another head of the department and the nomenclature of the post as director of public health. The two department heads mentioned above continued to function until 1958.

The activities of the two heads of the department are listed below. The Inspector of the General Civil Hospital and Prisons was responsible for the management of district hospitals and state headquarters.

Hospitals cover both external and internal services. Certain dispensaries for the extension of outdoor care structures were also created under the aegis of the General Inspectorate of Civilian and Prison Hospitals.

DHS Assam Recruitment Eligibility Criteria 2022

Applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old.  Applicants must have passed the HSSLC with a degree of at least 6 months in computer applications. 

A candidate must have a certificate of training/experience in the respective field. 

Age limit

The age limit by category on the last date of receipt of the application is as follows: 

  • NOT RESERVED: Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years
  • OBC / MOBC: Minimum 18 years and maximum 43 years
  • SC / ST: Minimum 18 years and maximum 45 years
  • PWD: Minimum 18 years and maximum 50 years 

Salary scale 

Successful applicants will receive a salary scale of Rs 12,000 to Rs 52,000 with a grade of Rs 3,900 as a monthly salary.
