Selection Process
The selection will be done on the basis of exam and Skill test:
Junior Hindi Translator: There will be a 200 point written test in relation to Junior Hindi Translator.
The written examination for JHT will consist of an objective-type test (120 points) comprising general English, general knowledge (GK), Hindi grammar, questions relating to the translation and a descriptive-type test (80 votes) consisting of translation changeover (from English to Hindi and from Hindi to English).
The duration of the examination is 2 hours.
Sub Divisional Officer Grade-II: There will be a written test of 150 points and the duration will be of 2 hours.
The test paper will be bilingual (Hindi and English). The portion of the written test will be of technical knowledge (100 marks), General Knowledge/General Aptitude (25 marks), and the General English of 25 marks.
Short-listed applicants will need to appear in the skill test to test their capabilities of Electronic Total Station and other practical elements of Land survey.
The skill test will be of qualifying nature. The skill test shall be held next to next (i.e.2nd) day of the written test only for the short-listed applicants who qualified the written test.
Hindi Typist: The written test for applicants will include objective questions of 100 points. The portion of the written test will be Hindi language, general knowledge, general awareness, Hindi grammar and mental ability.
The timing duration of the written examination will be 2 hours. The practical examination will last 10 minutes and will take place on a computer.
The practical examination will be of qualifying nature. The skills test will take place on the following day (i.e., the 2nd) day of the written test only for applicants eligible for the written test.
