The Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) organizes CBSE Class 12 Board Exams each year. Students who enrolled in 12th class of an institution affiliated with the CBSE are eligible to give these examinations. About 13 lakh students take the 12th class exam for 114 different subjects.
CBSE Class 12 Board Exams
- The CBSE term 1 hall ticket is issued on 9 November 2022.
- The CBSE board theoretical exams for term 1 (main subjects) took place from December 1 to December 22, 2022. Term 2 will take place in March 2023.
- The Board split the 12th CBSE 2023 program into two terms. Each semester will consist of 50 percent of the program. Students should refer to the syllabus for topics that have been omitted for this year.
- They must also solve sample exams CBSE Class 12 2023 and the exams from the previous year to practice with the various questions.
- The CBSE 12th class 2023 sample papers are issued with the scoring scheme, so review them to prepare intelligently for exam.
- Students will be able to download the admission cards online by entering the previous application number or the roll number and other information.
- The CBSE 12th 2023 result will be declared online based on the exams of the 1st and the 2nd semester.
On the basis of their score in the 12th CBSE exams, students will be able to request admission to the colleges and universities from various academic programs depending on their choice.

CBSE Class 12 Board Exams Eligibility Criteria
Any regular student who cleared the class 11th from the CBSE or any other recognized education board by the State/ UT Government and who are currently studying in the Class 12th are perfectly eligible to appear for the CBSE 12th examination.
Private applicants are eligible to take the CBSE 12th 2023 exams if they meet the following criteria:
- A applicant who does not pass the CBSE 12th class may return for a subsequent exam as a private applicant. Applicants will be need to complete the curriculum and textbooks for the year in which it reappears.
- The following categories of applicants should also be included in the CBSE 12th Examinations 2023 as private applicants when considering the School Council Certificate of board:
- Teachers serving in institutions affiliated to CBSE, who have already passed class 10 examination at least two years before taking class 12 examination. The teacher candidate should submit his application form along with a certificate by the Head of school they are serving it. The certificate should be duly countersigned by the Director of Education of the State/Union Territory.
- Women Applicants who reside at NCT Delhi and have passed Class 10 at least two years before applying for the Class 12 CBSE.
- students with physical disabilities who have passed class 10 at least 2 years before taking the 12th CBSE 2023 exam. They will be required to produce reasonable evidence that they have a disability that has made them unable to attend regular school for the purposes of their studies.
- women / applicants with disabilities must meet the following additional conditions which:
- They have privately completed the prescribed course of study under appropriate guidance.
- They cannot enroll in CBSE 12 class or there are other reasons to sit for the CBSE 12th 2023 exams as candidates private.
CBSE Class 12th 2023 Exam Pattern

The CBSE will publish the 12th 2023 CBSE exam result in May 2023. Students can view their result on the 12th CBSE result which will be uploaded to cbseresults.nic.in.
They must have the admit card number, registration number, school number and the examination center number to access their results.

- At first Visit to the CBSE class 12 official link.
- After that Enter your class 12th board roll number, admit card number, school number and test center number and click on the ‘submit’ button.
- Now, your result of the CBSE Board 12th 2023 will appear on the screen.
- At last Download and take a hardcopy of it and keep it safe for the future use.
Students who are dissatisfied with their scores may require re-evaluation or may appear in the compartment exams if they fail in one or two examinations.
The result of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exams reassessment will be published in August 2023. Students will be able to check it through DigiLocker.
