On Monday, February 21, the Supreme Court consented to hear a petition seeking to annul CBSE and other boards’ offline physical board tests for classes 10 and 12 scheduled for this year. A bench consisting of Chief Justice NV Ramana, Justices AS Bopanna, and Hima Kohli took notice of a lawyer’s remarks for an early listing of the case.
Claiming that the physical examination should not be undertaken owing to the COVID-19 epidemic. An activist, Anubha Shrivastava Sahai, has filed a petition seeking directives to CBSE and other school boards, which had suggested holding board exams for classes 10 and 12 online.

The petition also asks that school boards be directed to develop alternative evaluation methods. The CBSE has determined that term two board examinations for classes 10 and 12 would begin on April 26.
Several students, parents, and campaigners used the hashtag #InternalAssessmentForAll2022 to raise awareness of the problem on Twitter. Many of them stated that pupils would find it difficult to sit for board examinations with minimal preparation while coping with a learning gap after almost two years of school shutdown.

Students from over 15 states filed a petition seeking an alternate evaluation system for the forthcoming board examinations. The petition requested that the CBSE and other educational boards, which have suggested offering board exams in an offline format for classes 10 and 12, devise alternative evaluation methods. CBSE, CISCE, and other state boards decided to evaluate students based on alternative assessment criteria, and students were evaluated based on internal exams and a formula devised by the board. Class 10 and 12 terms two examinations have been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Exams for term two will begin on April 26. CISCE stated in a statement that the exact timetable would be revealed soon.

Meanwhile, several state boards have advised students to be completely vaccinated as soon as possible in preparation for Board Exams 2023. Only time will tell what the result of the Supreme Court hearing will be. Students should continue their studies and check here for the most recent information.
CBSE and ICSE Board Exam Cancel
Students from 15 states have petitioned the Supreme Court to intervene in the CBSE, COSCE, National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), and other state boards’ board examinations. The petitioners also demanded alternative evaluation procedures rather than written tests. Term 1 examinations have already been held by CBSE, CISCE, and a few other boards. The CISCE has also released the term one or semester one examinations.
The final examinations for term two will be held in April by CBSE and CISCE. After term two exams, both boards will declare final results with a ‘pass’ or ‘fail’ status. In a recent announcement, the CISCE requested that schools refrain from conducting pre-boards for semester two examinations until the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) curricula have been finished and amended. As a student this will not only give us the opportunity to cover up the marks that we lost in term 1 but also give us a internal satisfaction of “cracking the board exams” , by giving offline exams we will be familiar with our sallybus which will inturn help us a lot in our future standards.
And talking about the covid 19,
We can always postpone the exams a little bit instead of completely canceling them.

On-line classes throughout the year then exam should be online mode only. Those students who have no practice of writting , how can you expect them write paper of 80 or 100 marks sitting continuously for 2.5 hours. Even teachers themself may not sit at one place for this much time. This will be definitely end of pendamic and this should be last online chance for all 10,12 , UG and PG students

On-line classes throughout the year then exam should be online mode only. Those students who have no practice of writting , how can you expect them write paper of 80 or 100 marks sitting continuously for 2.5 hours. Even teachers themself may not sit at one place for this much time. This will be definitely end of pendamic and this should be last online chance for all 10,12 , UG and PG students
Student should practice of sitting for 2-3hrs , this is board exams , but in higher exams cant be cancelled. Students can play online games like PUBG,Free Fire etc for more than 4-5hrs ,but cant sit for your future. Conclusion:board exams should happen in offline mode
Not all students play pubg and free fire(fyi pubg and free fire are ban in India ). From the past two years we attended online classes and gave online exams. We didn’t get quality education from online classes. Many have net work issues in their areas and some are not even able to afford a smart phone. Our syallbus and concepts are not clear. And you expect us to give offline exams. Are we not worried about our future. On top of that you want us to risk our lives and give exams in so much pressure. This is against human rights.

No, students will give exam but the paper should be average type becoz in this online exam many toppers also disracted from their goal (marks) then just think about poor as well as average students. Don’t know, but 1st semester exam result shows the learning gap, & the question paper was MCQ , in a class we have different children with different abilities, how do you except all the children to get correct answer to mark MCQ . Many children get marks for steps & formulas , so the maths & science paper with will be difficult for many children to do with MCQ . Not all the children will try for neet jee ..

CBSE class 10 board examination should definitely be conducted. And infact when I saw the MCQ paper for the very first time, It was when I realised that subjective paper is far more easier than the MCQ one. Because in MCQ if we commit a mistake then our entire mark will go whereas in case of subjective we have to write the steps .Even if we commit a mistake in one step and other steps are correct then we won’t lose the entire mark for one mistake and this is the plus point of writing the subjective examination. It’s better for us to concentrate on our studies right now rather than being in the mindset that boards would be cancelled.

M Student of ISC cls 12 .As the online classes are not conducted properly so the poor students cant afford to study by taking tutions .And since the school have opened recently and the students are not getting it at all. As if the boards have to take exams offline then why did they did not open schools before only. Board exams should be cancelled because most of schools haven’t cover their syllabus till the time of pre- board’s and more than half of our schooling this year is done online in which half 15 minutes for class joining, 5 to 7 min for preparing class link and then battery problem, network issue, video and audio quality, background noise and some defaulters to play music via class then full period teacher just find that student and sometimes leave those students who haven’t done anything to disturb class this happened with me someone join class with my name and my teacher just think it’s me . these are my problem and most other schools students can’t too .In 40 min period we barely understand 1 topic and our doubts are not clear .so if board conducted exams most of students can’t score enough marks to pass their 10 or 12 so they must cancel exams or if they don’t want to cancel exams this year as well they a choice to conduct online exams

People like me applying abroad or if not otherwise have worked very hard and still are continuing to work hard need the board exams as an official result. There was barely any issue in term 1. We rely on our sem 2 board exam marks for good scores which are useful for applying in india and abroad. Not at all I have to complete my full syllabus but still I don’t have any issue with board instead of it I want board exams to conduct because I was not physically stable so due to that my internal actually affected and the boards will be cancelled than it will be quite impossible for me to score good in boards

I don’t study in india but as i study the cbse sylabus the court has refused to cancel the board exam but I would request the court again to reconsider this decision because it’s very risky to conduct board exams amid the covid 19 pandemic it’s easy for the government say that all children should be vaccinated but it’s not easy have every student vaccinated. Because of exam pressure we are under mental stress and pressure. 3 months is not enough to finish the 60% of the syllabus and after almost 8 months of continuous practice of mcq question pattern how can the government expect us to write board exam subjective with less time of practice. Don’t give me the reason bcuz they are junior…just bcuz we’re in 10th doesn’t mean we are not human….as far as I know they are vaccinated as well but still has options for offline n online. Why? Is that even an excuse. Boards have already suggested to open schools and revise all the chapters throughly and then conduct a exam based on the syllabus of term 2 so that the students are then capable to sit for an exam of 1 to 2 hours. Teachers are also helping us practice writing by making us write tests and also helping in all unsolved doubts. There should be a minimum common sense that this is class 10th boards that matters a lot in India for student’s future. How can this much important exam be taken online? Also the consepts that we study in class 10 is very important for further studies and If there is a pressure offline exam, students will at least study and not waste time I something else.

Exams and that was the last time when we gave an physical exam on paper. Ater that results were delayed and admissions took very long time like all the process of admission finished in February 2022. After that our 11th was started which hardly conducted for 3 months and we all were passed in 12th without studying 11th. In 12th too online lectures were not too useful and till this date syllabus is incomplete we didn’t get chance to give any practice preliminary exans due to omicron. How board departments think that we can give subjective paper in based on 15 chapters per subject. how did even struck by thought to conduct whole subjective paper in such minimal and hard time! We want internal assessment. Please we have several entrance exams to give to move ahead in our careers Please help us by giving internal assessment.

kindly dismiss CBSE.yesterday ‘s plus 2 1st term results shows that student who got 6 wrong answers in physics got 34out of 35..and another student with same valuation got 29 out of 35. CBSE is spoiling the future generation..either dismiss it or limit it only to Kendriya vidyalaya.CBSE doesnt have the capability to be affiliated to private institutions

My opinion regarding the exam (term2) is that ,neither term2 board should be held ,nor term 1 result should affect the students but instead based on the preboard scores and internal main exams the results must be declared ,as term1 result is not satisfied at all! And whomsover got good results is suspected one! And it’s rightly seen that some of the schools are also involved in some malpractices even it happened in my school too.I’m ,being a student i am not happy by seeing this all . But I wished too share this experience with CBSE but am not getting a chance either.So by looking at this news regarding cancellation i too support and not just because I don’t have capability to study but in order i want no student should be affected drastically by the result already majority of the students are suffering . I also want to mention on the thing ,that due to the pandemic rules classes were thought via online So, obviously it is highly impossible for a student to understand the concepts and focus over it and moreover not all may be having mobiles and net facility then it’s ridiculous that now suddenly conducting term1 and term2 separately and making the students stressed up with short Timings given during exams. I feel it’s just a mistake of the central idea of doing so , Instead of making a 2 way lose ,The planning must be made as “conducting only (one time) examination with the reduction of syllabus”.Now i would like to share my opinion regarding term1 exam what do you readers whoever is reading this comment about term1 ? Some of you say it is satisfactory ,some of you might say good one if you get good %but being an student won’t you think of the majority population of the students who haven’t got the sum what they expected won’t you feel how would it effect their final result You might have got good marks I don’t have any objections but I too hoped for a good result and also I don’t hesitate to highlight the thing that the questions which were framed some say it was from the syllabus and all i too except it but I felt some of the keys were wrong and especially the english paper of the term 1 which I got because of the whole passage i wasted my time for the solving of it and only this subject has affected my result. During my presence in the exam i felt wastage of time in encircling part majority of the students have eye sight problem including me so this made me to overlook the same option of the question not once but twice ,so this too had affected the time . And. Regarding the unattempted ones … The fear shown by our teacher’s saying that “If the unattempted ones are not encircled properly then it’s considered as UFM what the … How can one manage with these weirdy things I consider it to be God’s grace that english paper result has arrived to me as because of passage 1 I committed an UFM(unfair means) and was fully tensed regarding it.So at last do wanna thought to share this .. comment not in the form of bad sense to blame anyone or .. but instead what I have seen or felt and faced i expressed it if someone has the right thinking ability will only able to understand my comment .

Let’s be honest and accept that all commenting their base is weak, you didn’t understand concepts in online classes and all those other excuses are “mostly”, I repeat “mostly” not all, were those didn’t pay attention in their classes and scrolled social medias, watched YouTube and trolled their teachers and now demanding for cancellation of board exams.
And for those who are demanding for online exams, if you haven’t covered your syllabus…..then how are you gonna write online exams too? The only country where vaccine was manufactured but was not made available for the school going children…at least above 14 yrs should have been vaccinated on a mandatory basis in school. Later with online classes if exams were conducted children would not have faced this study gap. A face to face class teaching is always the best. For past 2 years it was virtual class , ups and downs and now how come exams can be offline.

Last moment vaccination became important. At least see to what other countries have done for their students and please learn.When the rules are different for each state this is what happens. Why petition was not raised to vaccinate the children. So neither the authority, parents or children realised the importance to vaccinate and improve the immunity. The question papers for Term 1 was set as though the board has done everything perfectly…no comments on those great professors 🤭

COVID has already hampered India’s progress(Education front)to a great extent.We had one whole year to study.If we can appear for Pre-Boards(Offline) then can’t we for Boards too OFFLINE ,following ALL precautionary guidelines and with almost* everyone vaccinated.When everything(outings,election,movies,shoping malls,Offline Office work,etc) is possible and safe even “during” the pandemic, Examination is ALSO possible.Mere 1 and a 1/2 hours paper and that too for 10 days ,THAT’S IT!And further we have to appear for offline exams anyway to get admission in any institute or otherwise.Thus,in my opinion Board Examinations should be held offline .

I apeared for pre boards (offline) and I got sick and when I attend school after few days I got sick then I stopped going to school even though when I was appearing for exam I followed ALL precautionary guidelines and with almost* everyone vaccinated….. so what u want that people should get sick in this hot temperature or get COVID every people doesn’t have good immune system… best example me I get sick really early
